Fishing at Lac Ste Hélène

FISHING

Lots of different fish species

Bujaleuf is located in the heart of the Pays Monts et Barrages, surrounded by lakes and rivers. There are tens of kilometers of streams and 230 hectares of lakes where practically all fish species are represented. All this within a radius of barely 20 kilometers.

Lac St Hélène, the lake next to the campsite, is a 70 hectare lake stocked with fish. The fishermen often come to camp at the campsite in the preseason. The months of May and June are the most popular. But there is also fishing in the lake in the summer. At the reception there is a guide in which all fishing spots in the Haute Vienne are described in detail.

A large part of the shore is accessible to fishermen. Many jetties and fishing spots have been created. In addition, there are also 2 jetties accessible for wheelchairs or people with a disability, one of which is right at the entrance of the campsite. Except during the day, it is also allowed to fish carp at night.

Station Pêche

In 2018, Bujaleuf was awarded the 'Station Pêche' label. All fishing locations of 'Station Pêche' encourage recreational fishing with respect for the environment. This is intended to give fishing tourism a positive impulse. Not only for the 1.5 million French fishermen, but also for tourists who like to throw out a fishing rod.
